Pregnancy
Pregnancy and postnatal
Pregnancy can be an amazing time and some women sail through it. However, very often, the changes of hormones, posture and pressure can be extremely challenging and early intervention may be helpful.
Are you having a tough time with adjusting to the changes in your body with pregnancy and suffering from aches and pains after long days at work or SPD or symphysis pubis or just finding difficult to get comfortable at night due to achy hips? Are you wanting to stay fit and well during your pregnancy? Do you have any concerns with your pelvic floor now that you are pregnant again?
We would love to see you and help you on your journey. We work hands on with our patients and all our patients benefit from expert physiotherapy, be it a lovely upper back or soft tissue massage to ease out tight muscles and help those ribs adjust to the growing bump, or a tailored exercise programme to help you adjust to the challenges that pregnancy presents to you and your body. Our experience in prenatal/pregnancy Women's health physiotherapy will help you to address and manage postural changes, pelvic girdle pain and any continence issues. We can also help you with any questions you have around birth and your birthplan. We love working with a team and can refer you to our birth preparation colleagues as needed.

Prenatal pilates is available in 1:1 sessions, or we can referring you to our Pilates colleagues at Nimble and Wild in Malmesbury or trusted prenatal personal trainers in the local area.

We can also help with issues experienced postnatally such as divarication or diatasis recti (tummy muscle separation), pelvic pain, third and fourth degree tears or episiotomy, recovery from C-section and help to manage pelvic organ prolapse or POP, and any issues with bowel or bladder postnatally and pain with intercourse (dyspareunia or vaginismus).
